2024 Group Agreement and Rates

"TEXAS Outdoor Musical" and our newest offering "Shakespeare in the Canyon" are produced by the Texas Panhandle Heritage Foundation, Inc. and performed in the beautiful Pioneer Amphitheatre, Palo Duro Canyon State Park.

TEXAS Show Dates:
June 6 - August 3, 2024* (excluding Shakespeare Tuesdays in July!)
Tuesday - Sunday

Shakespeare Show Dates:
Tuesday July 9, 16, 23, 30

The following is an agreement between the persons/group/family name listed below and Texas Panhandle Heritage Foundation. By completing this form, including the virtual signature box below, we (group listed) are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

Group Sales Policy
  • Group must have a minimum of 20 for both group show and dinner discounts. Strictly enforced.
  • Final group numbers and payment must be finalized 7 days prior to the show date. All sales are final.
    • If the reservation is made less than 7 days before the performance date, full payment and accurate guest count are due at the time of reservation.
    • Refunds will not be given if cancellations are within 6 days of the performance. However, if the group is unable to attend a performance, we welcome ticket date exchanges up to 7 days before the scheduled performance for any available show in the current year.
  • There are NO refunds for rain. "TEXAS" is performed in the rain and seldom cancelled. We will only offer rain checks if a performance is cancelled before intermission. Group will receive show ticket rainchecks.
  • Final payment may be made via business/personal check, cashier’s check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. TEXAS will only accept one payment for the total order. Individual payments for group members will not be accepted. Please make checks and money orders payable to: Texas Panhandle Heritage Foundation or TPHF.
  • BBQ Dinners and Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum tickets can be purchased after show tickets are picked in your transaction. If you decide to buy dinners after you have purchased tickets, to please call 806-651-2181 to add those dinners to your order. THE DEADLINE FOR PURCHASING BBQ IS BY 4:00 PM THE DAY PRIOR TO YOUR SHOW.

Donate your ticket option. Texas Panhandle Heritage Foundation (TPHF), the producer of TEXAS Outdoor Musical, is a 501 c 3, charitable organization. If you cannot attend the performance due to an emergency or unforeseen circumstance, you may choose to donate your group purchase to TPHF. This request can be made up to 48 hours before performance time by the ticket buyer. TPHF will send the ticket buyer a tax receipt for the donation. If you are issued a rain check due to the cancellation of a performance, and you are not able to attend the show on another night, you may choose to donate your ticket to TPHF in the same manner.

  • State Park entry for all group vehicles is included in your group’s ticket purchase and groups may enter the park starting at 4 pm.

COMP POLICY

  • Tour Group Leader / Bus Driver will receive complimentary show tickets. Dinner is not included.

Sample Itinerary

6 PM - Arrive at the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon State Park and head down to the Pioneer Amphitheatre. Upon arrival, please send the group leader to our box office to let us know you have arrived.

6:15 PM - Time for the Back Stage Tour! Get ready for a behind-the-scenes look at how TEXAS is produced. Tours last 20-30 minutes and can be done any time during this period. Patrons will learn how cast and crew work daily. If you’re lucky, you might even get to see the stars of the show before it starts!

6:15 PM -7:45 PM - Head up to our dinner pavilion and enjoy our dinner from Fat Boys. Brisket and sausage plate with beans, potato salad, coleslaw, a roll, dessert and a drink. We will also include a condiment bar with pickles, onion, jalapenos, and BBQ sauce.

7 PM - 7:45 PM - Still have some extra time before the show starts? Enjoy pre-show entertainment on the Prairie Dog Stage.

7:40 PM - The Pioneer Amphitheatre doors to the show for the general public open. Please see a Front of House Associate if you require handicapped assistance.

8:00 PM - “TEXAS” begins with the rider on the rim waving the Texas flag on top of the canyon wall.

10:30 PM – Show ends. Load up and head out. Have a safe trip!
